Last Thursday was filled with nostalgia for Nashville native and CMA award-winner Deana Carter when she headlined the famed Ryman Auditorium for the first time. She performed an intimate 90-minute set for the sold-out crowd, with special guests Charles Esten and Breland, as well as friends and collaborators Terri Clark, Kylie Morgan and Brandon Heath. The show was a celebration for the release of the 25th Anniversary Edition of her 5X platinum debut album Did I Shave My Legs for This?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A beloved Nashville comedian, musician and actor continues to use his fame for philanthropy, and it’s adding up big time. 

Charles “Chip” Esten tells me, “God uses people sometimes to answer prayers.” He’s raised $1.5 million for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society in just under a decade while living in the Nashville area.

September 18, 2021 was one of a two night engagement for Charles at the legendary Franklin Theater in Franklin, Tennessee.

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ)- If you’re a fan of the popular Netflix show, “Outer Banks,” you know Charles Esten as the villanous Ward Cameron. Or, you might remember him as the country crooner Deacon Claybourne on TV’s “Nashville.”

Before he took to the stage across the US and overseas as a singer-songwriter, Esten spent most of his childhood in Alexandria, Virginia. He’s also no stranger to our hometowns in Southwest Virginia.

“I also got some southern Virginia roots through my grandfather, who was raised in Buchanan and grew up in that Roanoke area, so it’s really nice to be going there,” says Esten.

Esten’s performing this weekend at The Coves Amphitheater at Smith Mountain Lake,
