CHARLES ESTEN HITS THE HIGHWAY WITH NEW SINGLE ‘A ROAD AND A RADIO’

Former star of TV’s Nashville and real-life singer/songwriter Charles Esten is hitting the highway with a new single today (October 11), announcing the release of “A Road and A Radio.”

Described as a upbeat rocker dedicated to endless asphalt and the music that makes it so intriguing, Esten debuted it for fans at the Grand Ole Opry. Esten co-wrote the tune with J.T. Harding and it was produced alongside Bobby Hamrick.

”The freedom and spirit-regenerating power of being on the open road with the person and the music you love isn’t just a piece of American mythology. It’s real,” Esten explains. “This song attempts to capture a little bit of that. It would be nice to think that maybe when somebody out there, in an attempt to get away from it all, decides to get ‘a song turned up’ and ‘a ragtop down,’ this just might be one of the songs they turn up.”

“A Road and A Radio” is Esten’s first single since releasing 54 tracks in consecutive weeks for his Guinness World Record-breaking #EverySingleFriday campaign in 2017. In a few days the actor and singer who got his onstage start in London, England, will return to U.K. for a Country Music Week tour alongside UK-based trio The Adelaides. With seven dates on the run, he’ll visit Scotland, Northern Ireland and England, wrapping up October 27 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
